Lannamans Prep School family, as you may be aware, we suffered a devastating loss on February 14th, via a fire, to our Nursery and Kindergarten facility. Our resolve is stellar and we are vowing to rebuild. However, we need your help. Please consider a monetary donation in any sum, to help us with the rebuilding and recovery efforts.

Thanks for your anticipated assistance.

Lannaman's Environmental Club

Teachers: Ms. Skyers & Mrs. McLaren

It is said that "change is the only thing that's certain," and l am elated to report of the Clubs achievements, yet cautious because we are still not at the place that we ought to be.

The Lannaman's Preparatory School Environmental Club placed 3rd in Kingston and St. Andrew in the National Solid Waste Management Authority (N.S.W.M.A.) Clean Schools competition. 2007 to 2008 has certainly motivated us to work harder.

To date, the club has undertaken several activities which include researches, planting of trees, development of a green area and the recycling of solid waste.

We would like to announce that a part of our long term objective is to have the walls designed with murals depicting environmental messages.

In addition, the club also benefited from visits from various N.G.O.'s and representatives from the National Environment Planning Agency (N.E.P.A.).

The teachers who worked along with the club are Mrs. Bartley and Mrs. Farquharson, the club's secretary Neorgia Grant, past leaders Tristina Palma, Nicholas McKennon, Ashley Grant and Samantha Clarke along with parents Mr. Grant and Mrs. Sangster.

A special thank you to our Principal Miss Hardy and our Director Miss DeHaney for their immeasurable contribution to the Club. Special thanks also to Mr. Lipton who also assisted us in the management of our "green area".

We look to the future with hope, determination and knowledge that the volume of Work to be done is indeed mammoth, but we are guided by the old Chinese saying "The journey of a thousand miles begin with the first step".
